I used Microsoft Recite for a bit but as they stopped support for that app at the end of 2009 I was looking for an alternative. One problem I have with all Voice Note apps is that after I record a note, which is usually something more than a "deep thought" I don't have any way of reminding me that it's there.
So if I am out and about and see or think of something important, I can open TV Notes, and remind myself to do something at a future point (boy, getting old sucks
It would be fantastic if TV Notes could add a new Task to Outlook, with something like, "Check Thumb Voice Notes", with a due date of "current day". Most people, or at least I do, usually check their Agenda at least once a day, so it would be easy to spot and can be moved forward or redefined once you saw it, which would trigger that little string you should have tied around your finger. I have no idea how complicated this would be, but is would sure be nice to have. Short of the Outlook path, I suppose a reminder generated by TV Notes, maybe pre-defined for X hours after recording the Voice Note would be OK, but would still be a bit lacking.
I already use Note2Self (WebIS) to send myself email messages with Voice attachments (for the really important stuff) but that takes more time and requires a data connection. And if it's a task related voice message (like, don't forget to pickup the friend at the Airport next Tuesday) I still need to enter it into Outlook.
Thanks,
JIM
